In a previous post, I gave a quick rundown of the Platinum Hotel’s all-inclusive wedding package. Our wedding at the Platinum Hotel was everything I imagined it to be, and I would highly recommend this venue to anyone hoping to get married in Las Vegas.
*Disclaimer: This is not a paid endorsement. In no way am I being compensated by the Platinum Hotel or any of its vendors. These are simply my opinions and experiences!
The event staff at the Platinum Hotel are some of the most patient, understanding and competent individuals. When we started planning, we worked with Jamie. She was prompt in her responses, and she never made me feel silly when asking my gazillions of questions. In time, Kimberly replaced Jamie…two weeks before the wedding. Despite my brief Bridezilla moment (I swear I only had one), Kimberly made sure that our wedding at the Platinum Hotel went off without a hitch. She even made sure to set up our guest book, favors, candy dishes, etc. exactly how I had envisioned!
A Complimentary Suite
The Platinum Hotel provides the bride and groom with a Princess Suite on the day (and night) of the wedding. The suites are fairly large, with a full kitchen. This was perfect. As I sat through hair and makeup, my friends and family were able to gather, eat, drink and just hang out…without feeling crowded. Luckily my parents stayed at the Platinum as well. My hubby-to-be and the guys were able to use that space to hang out and get ready (and enjoy a beer or two) prior to the ceremony. Once the wedding was over, we returned to our suite room to find a few “special touches,” courtesy of the Platinum staff. The Platinum Hotel does a wonderful job of making the bride and groom feel extra special.
The Platinum Hotel includes the services of Elegant Las Vegas Weddings as part of the all-inclusive wedding package. Pastor Pete, of Elegant Las Vegas Weddings arrive at our room about an hour before the ceremony was to start, so that I could fill out my part of the wedding license. Pastor Pete is a funny guy with tons of jokes! He had our guests laughing throughout the ceremony. He also did a great job of personalizing the ceremony so that it was truly unique to Shane and I. I highly recommend Pastor Pete and Elegant Las Vegas Weddings.
As part of the all-inclusive package, flowers are provided by Roxi Floral. I had originally wanted peonies for my bouquet and the reception flowers. Unfortunately, peonies are difficult to come by in July. The florist helped me to select flowers that were in season, but reflected our taste. She even helped me select the perfect colors based on tuxedo and dress colors The bouquet, centerpieces, boutonnieres and corsages were all absolutely beautiful. My bouquet, wrapped in a simple grey ribbon, was simply and elegant. I wish I could have taken them with me once the wedding was over. If you are getting married in Las Vegas, and are looking for a florist, Roxi Floral is amazing.
The Platinum Hotel also includes a photographer, Chiemi McGhie and a photography package as part of the all-inclusive package. Chiemi was wonderful! She came to the room prior to me trying to get into my dress. It immediately felt like I had known Chiemi for years. She captured some beautiful moments as my hubby to be and myself got ready in our respective rooms. The shots of the actual ceremony are some of my favorite. The photos truly captured the love, the excitement and the happiness of the evening. After the ceremony, we were able to take photos with our family member and the incredibly view from the rooftop patio. Then she led us to various locations throughout the Platinum, where we took gorgeous, gorgeous photos. A few weeks after the wedding, we received digital copies and hard copies of over two hundred images. I highly recommend Chiemi McGhie. She is professional and incredibly talented.
The music was provided by All Night Long Entertainment, as a part of the all-inclusive package. The music was exactly what we had requested. The dinner music was a jazzy Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, rat pack kind of mix. When it came time for dancing, he chose a great selection of Motown, Top 40 and line dancing classics. Even better, he made sure my seven year old niece got to hear her “jams.”
Open Bar and Bartender
The bartender made sure that my husband and I always had our drink of choice in hand. In fact, we were given a glass of Riesling and a rum and Coke the second we stepped foot into the reception room. I felt like such a VIP! The bartender also made sure our guests had a blast. To this day, we continue to hear about the bartender and the drinks!
Most people don’t have high expectations for wedding dinners. They are normally characterized by cold chicken, tough steak and wilted lettuce. Not at the Platinum Hotel. We had a number of different options for our buffet selections. We chose steak, chicken, glazed carrots, mashed potatoes, etc. Everything was absolutely delicious. Our wedding guests raved about the dinner options. I have to admit, dinner was a blur, but I know the steak was amazing. Oh, and did I mention the butler passed hors d’oeuvres? Fancy!
The Platinum Hotel provides, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Las Vegas. The ceremony was held on the rooftop patio, overlooking the Las Vegas Strip. The event staff scheduled our vows so that Las Vegas Sunset would be our backdrop. It was so incredibly beautiful. Then, once the sun went down, we had an incredible view of the city’s 4th of July fireworks. All of them.
The reception was held in the Misora Room. This is a semicircle shaped room, with windows that offer a view of the Las Vegas Strip through the huge windows. The décor is neutral, which lends itself to the wedding colors of your choice. It simply feels classy.
The staff at the Platinum Hotel ensure that your special day is just that—incredibly special. If I had to do it all over, I wouldn’t change a thing.
