Pardon this week’s picture. As you can tell, I am running out of energy to put myself together each day. As I post this baby bump blog, we officially have one week and two days until our due date. That is nine days. We are in the single digits! As excited as we are to meet our handsome little man, we are also prepared to wait, and wait, and wait for him to make his arrival. The nursery is finally ready, his clothes are washed and put away, we just have to install our carseat. And, we are ready. Ready as we will ever be.
How far along: 38 Weeks
How big is baby: Baby is the size of a pumpkin.
Gender: Its a boy!
Weight gain: My weight gain has leveled off, and we are staying right around 35 pounds.
Maternity clothes: No more maternity clothes for me! But I did purchase a light robe on clearance to pack in my hospital bag!
Sleep: Sleep has been a bit better. I have found that I am sleeping much better without the assistance of my pregnancy pillow. Instead, I have been using a cheap pillow from Walmart between my knees. It makes it so much easier to move around…which I have to do often!
Best moment this week: This week has been rather busy, but wonderful. Our nursery is complete. Our crib and changing table/dresser are assembled. Our pictures are hung on the wall. The baby’s clothes are washed and put away. Our hospital bag and diaper bag are packed. Everything that can be done, is done. And we are ready for the little guy!
At the doctor’s office this week, we were able to see another doctor (ours is out of town). She was very thorough, and helpful. She even suggested that the little guy will likely be an 8 pound baby!
Miss anything: This week I think I am beyond missing anything. I am pretty uncomfortable and am ready to feel normal once again.
Movement: It seems as though he is moving more than ever. Between our little guy moving frequently, and frequent contractions, my tummy is constantly uncomfortable.
Cravings: No new cravings, really!
Symptoms: This week, I have been having regular contractions. Some are labor contractions. Most are Braxton Hicks, and many are somewhere in between! And my feet are more swollen than ever.
