We made it! We are at the half way mark; 20 Weeks. This week has been amazing, and I cannot wait to see what is in store as I continue to document the grown of my baby bump week to week.
How far along: 20 Weeks
How big is baby: Baby is the size of a banana.
Gender: Its a boy!
Weight gain: At our appointment today I received an official number: 12 pounds total. Our doctor seemed happy with this pace. She suggested that from this point forward, gaining one pound each week would be ideal. I don’t mind if I do!
Maternity clothes: I took advantage of a sale at Old Navy, and ordered a few dresses and flow-y pants. I am rather disappointed to say that, seven days later, they still have not left Old Navy’s warehouse. I am not pleased.
Sleep: Sleeping is the same. I have good days, and I have bad ones. Right now, I am exhausted, and praying for a bit more sleep! Nights when we can sleep with the windows open are the best.
Best moment this week: Today. Today was amazing. We had our 20 week anatomy scan, and had the opportunity to see our little man once again. And, he is absolutely perfect. He has perfect feet, and the sweetest profile. The technician also noted that he is measuring a week ahead at over 21 weeks. Our big boy!
Miss anything: Not missing much this week! Except for some solid sleep!
Movement: The little guy is increasingly active; kicking, punching and moving throughout the day. Now, I can actually see the kicks. The movement makes it all more “real.” Our little guy is very stubborn. Every time I grab my camera to record his movements, he becomes very still. He is a little camera shy.
Cravings: I am craving juice again. But at the moment, that is pretty much all. Its a nice break from the consistent killer cravings.
Symptoms: This week’s worst symptoms have been severe back pain in the middle of my back, and sharp pains in my ribs. My body is simply having a hard time adjusting to this growth.
Looking forward to: I am looking forward to more kicks, more movement, and continuing to watch this tummy grow.
