My Baby Bump Week to Week: 19 Weeks

We are just one week away from being “half baked!” I am so excited to be at 19 weeks. Yet another week closer to meeting this little one.  As I track the progress of my baby bump week to week it is so fun to watch this tummy grow, and to note the constant changes.

How far along: 19 Weeks

How big is baby: Baby is the size of a mango.

Gender: Its a boy!

Weight gain: I am still lingering around twelve to fourteen pounds.

Maternity clothes: Still making the best of the maternity clothes I have, although I have outgrown nearly all of my workout gear. Its time for some new leggings and yoga pants.

Sleep: This week has been much better in terms of sleep. Most mornings, I wake up feeling rested. Finally!

Best moment this week: This weekend we celebrated my husband’s birthday. That day, our little munchkin was more active than he’d ever been. And, for a birthday gift, my husband was able to feel two strong baby kicks, right to the side of my abdomen. It was the perfect moment.

Miss anything: This week I don’t think I am missing anything in particular.

Movement: Our little man has some strong kicks. While watching a movie this weekend, the noise was a bit too much for him. I felt the strongest kicks yet. Kicks I could feel from the outside. And later on, as I mentioned above, my husband was able to feel them as well!

Cravings:  My cravings have been pretty mild this week, primarily for iced tea and an occasional Burger King Whopper.

Symptoms: This week, the fatigue and headaches continue. I am also experiencing aches and pains in my ribs and a constant feeling of tightness in my stomach.

Looking forward to: Next week! We will have the opportunity to see our little man during the anatomy scan!
