My Baby Bump Week to Week: 13 Weeks


This week I haven’t felt much of a change in terms of baby, and the bump. We did face a bit of frustration when trying to have some first trimester tests done. Sometimes I get so frustrated with the doctor’s office, as it seems like there is so much misinformation and miscommunication. In the end, I had my blood drawn, and now we wait!

How far along: 13 Weeks

How big is baby: Baby is the size of a peach

Gender: Only 7 more weeks to go to until we can find out what this little gummy bear is!

Weight gain: I am still only up about 3 lbs.

Maternity clothes: I am still living in leggings, and my one pair of maternity jeans! I can’t wait for warmer weather. I am ready for some comfy maxi dresses!

Sleep: Sleep is NO problem. But, I am exhausted all day, every day!

Best moment this week: The best moment this week has been announcing our pregnancy to “the world,” (okay, to Facebook. Same difference).

Miss anything: This week, I am really missing feeling “normal.” I am tired of feeling tired… all the time.

Movement: I still can’t feel anything just yet. But I am looking forward to feeling the little one move!

Cravings:  This week I am still craving Jimmy John’s beach club sandwiches. But, all in all, my cravings are really subsiding. Food aversions are still going strong.

Symptoms: The symptoms are still the same. Lots of bloat, and even more fatigue. This week, I have been having more headaches than normal as well.

Looking forward to: We are really looking forward to the next appointment. Sometimes my anxiety gets the best of me, and I worry about baby a lot. I wish I could just peek in there, to make sure everything is okay.
